Laura Evangelista

Specialist in the Nuclear Medicine Unit from 2009. I have worked as a consultant at Veneto Institute of Oncology IOV – IRCCS in Padua, Italy, as an assistant professor at the University of Padua from 2019 to 2022, as an associate professor from 2022 to 2023 at the University of Padua, Italy and as an extraordinary professor from 2023 until today at Humanitas University in Milan, Italy. Moreover, I am currently the head of the group for the nuclear medicine departments of the Humanitas Hospitals (Milan, Bergamo and Catania, Italy). I completed my residency program in Nuclear Medicine in 2009 (summa cum laude) at the University of Naples “Federico II” and completed my Ph.D. program in Molecular Imaging in 2012. Moreover, in 2016, I attended a Master in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) at University Cattolica of Rome and in 2022 a Master in Health Management at the University of Naples, Italy. I am the author and co-author of more than 300 articles (HI: 31, Scopus) and the author of more than 15 book chapters. I attended a period in 2 different American Hospitals, the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City (NY) and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester (MN). From 2012 to 2018, I have been actively involved in the European Association of Nuclear Medicine by participating as the Secretary of the Translational and Molecular Imaging and Therapy committee. From 2017 to 2022, I have been included into the board of the Italian Association of Nuclear Medicine. From 2021 to date, I am the leader of the EANM Women Empowerment initiative. Moreover, I am currently serving as the Editor in Chief of Clinical and Translational Imaging, the official journal of the Italian Association of Nuclear Medicine.
